Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Buchanan First Presbyterian Church

Rev. Brad Napier, Pastor

“Give concord and peace to us and all living on the earth, as you gave them to our fathers

when they prayed to you, believing truly, ready to obey the All Powerful, the All Holy.”

- Clement of Rome*

*Clement is known as the First Apostolic Father of the Church. He is thought to be the Third

Pope (Pope Clement I) or Bishop of Rome from 92-99, although this is in dispute. He wrote

a letter to the Corinthian Church, although his name isn’t on it, only saying that it came from

the Church in Rome. He is said to have been martyred by having an anchor tied around him

and was thrown into the sea.

Come Worship With Us

At Buchanan First Presbyterian Church, we affirm and are committed to these things:

We affirm that God is revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  We believe

that the Triune God is one, yet in three distinct persons.

We affirm that the Bible is the Word of God written.  We believe that the Bible is our rule of faith and life.

We affirm that our salvation comes by Grace alone, through Faith alone in Christ alone.

We affirm that the Church is the body of Christ and the Church is where

people gather for worship, growth, fellowship and mission.

We affirm that we are all sinners and broken people.  None of us are perfect

and as such, all are welcome here.
