Announcements and Welcome

Call to Worship (Responsive) -Psalm 42 - The Jewish Bible

Like a deer longs for water;

My soul cries for You, O God.

My soul thirsts for God, the living God.

O when will I come to appear before God?

My tears have been my food day and night; I am ever taunted with, “Where is your

Why so downcast, my soul, why disquieted within me?

Have hope in God; I will yet praise Him for His saving presence.

Let us worship the Lord, the hope of our souls.

*Hymn #307 - God of Grace and God of Glory

Prayer of Confession (Unison)

Sovereign God, we cannot hide from you the sinfulness of our hearts. You know

our every thought and deed. You see the evil we do, and the good that we leave

undone. You see our selfishness and pride, our petty scheming and our grand

designs. Pursuing our own desires, we distort your truth. We trust our own

knowledge and cleverness more than your life-giving Word in Jesus Christ.

Look upon us with mercy, O God. Forgive our sin and purify our lives. Live

and rule in us, by your Spirit, that each thought, word, and deed may serve your

will, through Jesus, our Savior and Lord.

And now, Lord, I confess specifically.....(silent prayers)

Assurance of Pardon (Responsive)

Jesus, Lamb of God.

Have mercy on us.

Jesus, Bearer of our sins,

Have mercy on us.

Jesus, Redeemer of the world,

Grant us peace

I declare to you, in the name of Jesus Christ, God has heard our confession, and

forgiven our sins.

Thanks be to God. AMEN.

Passing of the Peace

The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

And also with you.
