Announcements and Welcome

Call to Worship: From Psalm 29

Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

Ascribe to the LORD the glory of his name; worship the LORD in holy splendor.

The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, over mighty waters.

The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.

The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD sits enthroned as king forever.

May the LORD give strength to his people! May the LORD bless his people with peace!

*Hymn 408 – There’s a Sweet, Sweet Spirit

Prayer of Confession

Holy God, we have been less than the Church you have called us to be. We ask that you would pardon us and have mercy, so that we can be restored to live in unity with one another and with you, demonstrating your glory to the world around us.

Listen to the repentance of our hearts and receive our contrition. We ask this mercy from you recognizing our own limits, but we know your power is sufficient to make us whole. Let us be a part of the Body of Christ.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers… (Silent prayers)

Assurance of Pardon

It is the desire of our God that all of His children would be restored in the Kingdom of God. Let us receive God’s mercy and the presence of the Holy Spirit. We have been renewed to live in unity with each other and to demonstrate God’s glory.

Thanks be to God. Amen.

Holy Communion

*All who are able, please stand.

Blessed are you, O God, who with your Word and Holy Spirit
created all things and called them good.
In Jesus Christ your Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
Through Jesus’ suffering and death
you took upon yourself our sin and death
and destroyed their power for ever.
You raised from the dead this same Jesus, who now reigns with you in glory,
and poured upon us your Holy Spirit,
making us the people of your new covenant.
