Announcements and Welcome

Call to Worship: From Psalm 147

Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!

For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your children within you.

He grants peace within your borders; he fills you with the finest of wheat.

He sends out his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.

He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and ordinances to Israel.

He has not dealt thus with any other nation; they do not know his ordinances. Praise the LORD!

*Hymn 133- O Come, All Ye Faithful

Prayer of Confession

Holy God, we recognize that we have sinned and fallen short of your expectations for us. As your children, we seek to repent and be restored, so that we can love and worship you without the division of sin and guilt.

Hear our petitions and receive our prayers, so that we can be reunited in mercy and reconciled with You and with our neighbors. Restore us so that we can live as we were created to be, in unity with you and with each other.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers… (Silent prayers)

Assurance of Pardon

Our God is a merciful God, full of love and grace. We have received pardon from our Lord. Let us celebrate the gift of grace by living in ways that demonstrate that grace to our neighbors and to all the earth.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
