Announcements and Welcome

Call to Worship: From Psalm 40

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.

He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;

He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.

Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.

Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord!
*Hymn 1 – Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!

Prayer of Confession

We come together to confess our sins as one body, united in faith and baptism. We each remain accountable for our own actions, even as we share in our triumphs and our failures with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Holy God, we confess that we have failed to embody the Kingdom you have prepared for us. Forgive our shortcomings and equip us to serve you faithfully, being responsible for our deeds, words, and thoughts before you and one another.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers… (Silent prayers)

Assurance of Pardon

As the Body of Christ, we come together to receive one grace, sufficient for all and excluding none. Let us be restored to love the Lord, serve one another, and live in unity as the Kingdom of God working in this world, even as we wait for Christ’s return.

Thanks be to God. Amen.

Prayer:
Almighty God, you built your church
upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
with Jesus Christ himself as the cornerstone.
Join us together by their teaching,
so that we may be a holy temple
in whom your Spirit dwells;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
